How to Plant Annual Flower Pots?
In this post, I am going to tell you how to plant a container using annual flowers and how to make it beautiful. Outdoor plant pots is a great way to ornament your garden. They are inexpensive and easy to plant.
There are tons of choices that you can make for a container. You can get plastic flower pots. Colorful, ceramic containers will be fine as well. You can also use unusual containers like old boxes. If you want to focus on the flowers themselves, you can use a fairly simple container filled with potting soil. Since these aren’t vegetables, you can use standard organic potting soil. I’ve chosen colors that are warm like red, gold and orange. An annual flower is a plant that has its life cycle in one year. So the seed germinates, sprouts, blooms and then dies in one year. So you do need to plant them every year. As for a perennial, as long as you take care of it, it has its life cycle over several years.
What I’ve done is that I have chosen here whose leaves and colors are kind of similar but still have some contrast. Sometimes you need to work around and see which works better. I also have some marygold here that we can tug in the pot. To give the pot a little bit of brightness, add some yellow marigold. Make sure to loosen up the bottom of the roots. I am using the one perennial that is a sweet potato vine. I think it is nice because it picks upon some of the dark colors and it will also spill over the pot and add some colors to the front of the pot, too. Once you’ve planted everything, give it a nice soaking. Remember the terra cotta pot do dry out a little bit more quickly. and you should be good to go with the container.
