How to Choose the Right Spray for Garden

The size and type of your sprayer determines the range of garden pressure spray nozzles available. Spray tips control the speed, size and spray pattern. Choosing the right nozzle for your application decreases the danger of drifting towards unwanted areas. Application rates sprayer affected by the flow rate. The opening of the spray nozzle and the pressure provided by the spray affect that rate. Choosing the right spray nozzle and adjust spray pressure effectively control their rate of application.

1. Use nozzles, like through type connector, range of broadcast applications, where a consistent spray pattern is critical. The production of finer droplets that cover a wider area is more evenly. Overlap the spray pattern to compensate for low volume spray edges. Use a nozzle wider range of smaller drops and more coverage angle. Use fans narrow angle for accurate delivery penetrating aerosol.

2. Choose hollow cone nozzle, where good coverage penetration is more important. Most will drift because the pressures used for typical applications are high and produces smaller droplets. The overlap is difficult with this nozzle so it is not used for broadcasting applications. Use it to cover ground only.

3. Select full cone nozzles with a wide angle of large drops and less drift. Maintaining a uniform pattern in a pressure range from 20 to 40 pounds per square inch these nozzles are good for herbicide application. Use this type of nozzle cone for in situ application.

4. Select the nozzles suspensions flood when fertilizers are applied to keep large particles plugging the spray to reduced drift due to large drops is an additional benefit.
