How to Decorate for Christmas Safely
When
we think of decorating our home for Christmas the first thing that comes to
mind is the tree, decorative objects, lights, the Christmas wreath for the
door, and the festive atmosphere with Christmas
table cover that we want to give our home in general. However, to
really enjoy holidays with peace and joy aside from gifts like jack
Skellington pocket watch or snowman
brooch, well worth considering these tips for decorating your home for
Christmas safely.
1.
Choose the tree
When
choosing the tree if you think decorating a pine authentic- when you go to buy
a little shake it before. If in doing so you see many leaves fall, choose
another. Those leaves are highly flammable, and if someone can slip treads.
Moreover they will ruin your carpet!
2.
Place the tree
Whether
you decorate a natural tree or an artificial one, away from the Christmas tree
from any source of heat (especially the stove if this will be on) and, if
possible, also of cables and power outlets.
3.
Read labels
Read
the labels of all the things you use to decorate your home, especially
electrical items. Note that not all lights can be used outdoors; make sure the
label says it is safe to use outside before decorating the outside of your home
with them.
4.
Review garlands of lights
Check
garlands of lights, even the new ones, to ensure that no wire cut or burned, or
missing or have broken some lights. And always remember to turn off the lights
before going to sleep.
5.
Lighting candles
Light
candles usually gives a cozy touch to our home, especially at this time.
However, if you're going to make sure you light them never be alone in the room
lit because the risk is very large.
