Vanilla Cookies


The ingredients:
400 grams of flour,
1 teaspoon of baking powder,
a pinch of salt,
100 grams of softened butter,
1 cup of sugar,
1/4-1/3 cup of milk
2 egg yolks,
a pinch of vanilla,
1 egg yolk for brushing on the surface,
vegetable oil for the pan

Steps:
1. Sift the flour with SIEVE. Combine the sifted flour, salt, vanilla and baking powder.
2. Beat the softened butter with sugar in a big bowl. Add the egg yolks to the butter mixture one by one. After mix the egg yolks with butter, you could pour milk gently (use the milk at room temperature) and mix.
3. To combine the mixtures in step 1 and step 2, you could knead elastic dough with wooden dough roller.
4. Roll out the dough into thin strips (about 20 pieces). Fold each stripe three times and seal the edges. Put biscuits on greased baking sheet, brush with beaten egg yolk. Bake cookies in preheated 175 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Vanilla cookies are ready.
